Booking Management

Bookings, from request to completion.

Every booking at every location in one ledger: what was requested, what’s confirmed, who’s checked in and what’s done.

Why it matters

Status, resources and notes shouldn’t live in three places.

With two locations, the host stand has one list, the manager another and special requests sit in an email. A party of six arrives and nobody knows two tables were promised.

Booking management keeps status, the assigned table, room or staff member, and intake notes on one record, at every location.

Business scenario

A practical day in the business.

Harbor & Vine Bistro in Portland, ME has a Downtown and an Eastside location. General manager Renee Calloway reviews the evening at 4 PM.

  • 4:00 PM — Renee filters Requested at both locations: three need tables.
  • 4:05 PM — She assigns T3 + T4 for Allison Grey’s party of six and confirms it.
  • 6:02 PM — The Downtown host checks in Morgan Hayes’s party of four.
  • 10:30 PM — She selects the evening’s seated bookings and marks them completed in one step.

Business scenarios and exceptions

Designed for real-world exceptions.

UpdatedThe change was allowed for that booking and branch. Status, time and who made it are recorded.
Needs a resourceA request can’t be confirmed until a table, room or staff member is assigned.
LockedCancelled or completed bookings can’t be edited by bulk actions. They’re skipped and listed.
